چکیده

Since the hardware limitations of satellite sensors, spatial resolution multispectral (MS) images is still not consistent with panchromatic (PAN) images. It especially important to obtain MS high in field remote sensing image fusion. In order and spectral resolutions, a novel PAN fusion method based on weighted mean curvature filter (WMCF) decomposition proposed this paper. Firstly, local frequency-based (WLSF) utilized fuse all bands generate an intensity component IC. accordance matting model, IC taken as original α channel for estimation foreground background Secondly, decomposed into small-scale (SS), large-scale (LS) basic by Gaussian (GF). The multi-scale morphological detail measure (MSMDM) value used inputs Parameters Automatic Calculation Pulse Coupled Neural Network (PAC-PCNN) model. With MSMDM-guided PAC-PCNN are effectively fused. fused well LS SS linearly combined together construct last channel. Finally, image, reconstructed acquire final image. experimental results four pairs show that achieves superior terms subjective objective evaluations. particular, can different resolutions higher operational efficiency, which effective means

A Bidimensional Empirical Mode Decomposition Method for Fusion of Multispectral and Panchromatic Remote Sensing Images

This article focuses on the image fusion of high-resolution panchromatic and multispectral images. We propose a new image fusion method based on a Hue-Saturation-Value (HSV) color space model and bidimensional empirical mode decomposition (BEMD), by integrating high-frequency component of panchromatic image into multispectral image and optimizing the BEMD in decreasing sifting time, simplifying...

Pyramid-based image empirical mode decomposition for the fusion of multispectral and panchromatic images

Image fusion is a fundamental technique for integrating high-resolution panchromatic images and low-resolution multispectral (MS) images. Fused images may enhance image interpretation. Empirical mode decomposition (EMD) is an effective method of decomposing non-stationary signals into a set of intrinsic mode functions (IMFs). Hence, the characteristics of EMD may apply to image fusion technique...

Fusion of Panchromatic and Multispectral Images Using Non Subsampled Contourlet Transform and FFT Based Spectral Histogram (RESEARCH NOTE)

Image fusion is a method for obtaining a highly informative image by merging the relative information of an object obtained from two or more image sources of the same scene. The satellite cameras give a single band panchromatic (PAN) image with high spatial information and multispectral (MS) image with more spectral information. The problem exists today is either PAN or MS image is available fr...

Fusion of Multispectral and Panchromatic Images and Its Quality Assessment

Image fusion is the process of merging two or more images obtained from the same sensor at different times or from two or more sensors at the same instant. The objective is to obtain more information from the fused image than from the individual images. In satellite images, the lower spatial resolution multispectral images are fused with higher spatial resolution panchromatic images. The fusion...
